The BMZ African-German Leadership Training Academy: Apply Now (Fully-funded)

The BMZ African-German Leadership Academy is an innovative training and dialogue programme that brings together early to mid-career professionals from Germany and its African partner countries namely, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Zambia, Senegal, Tunisia and Togo. The programme aims to develop leadership skills and enable joint knowledge creation and peer learning needed for sustainable development, in accordance with the objectives of Africa’s Agenda 2063 and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The programme is organised and hosted by the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The format of the dialogue and training programme sees 25 participants from government institutions, think tanks and research institutions, civil society and the private sector brought together to share their experience of and expertise in working in the area of sustainable development. Participation in the programme also facilitates networking opportunities with German and European stakeholders from various sectors and with representatives from African institutions.

Applications for the 2023 Academy are now open. Apply until 24 October 2022!

FORMAT AND CONTENT

The BMZ African-German Leadership Academy is grounded on three essential elements that contribute to capacity development: knowledge, leadership and action.

  • Knowledge element offers participants the space to exchange knowledge and jointly learn about the themes of governance and sustainability, on both a global and local level. In our academic modules, participants strengthen their analytical capabilities through engagement with different concepts and direct interaction with diverse scientific and practice-oriented stakeholders. This includes encounters in discussions, workshops and site visits
to selected institutions. A study trip to Brussels provides first-hand practical insights into policy-making.
  • Leadership modules focus on developing individual and collective competencies, including strengthening dialogue skills, problem-solving, exchanging perspectives, teamwork, reflecting on one’s values, and building strong and trustful relationships, which will also benefit the participants’ home institutions. Individual coaching for participants further complements the leadership modules.
  • Action components are an open, creative and innovative learning space in which participants put their knowledge and skills into practice. Working independently in small groups, participants develop a hands-on solution and prototype for a self-selected challenge by following the design thinking method.

The programme utilizes a range of training methods used to cultivate learning, such as facilitated sessions, workshops, open space and bar camp formats, presentations, discussions, excursions, expert interviews and role-play. The African Academy works under the premise that knowledge acquisition is not passive, but requires open and active engagement by the learners. Through collaborative peer learning, participants benefit from an exchange of perspectives, hone their critical thinking skills and develop shared values. Participants and their home institutions will form part of a network and jointly engage in knowledge cooperation. Network activities are driven by the network members themselves, and can include collaborative organisation and hosting of high-level policy dialogues, joint publications, or other formats.

The format of the Academy is based on the training concept developed in the frame of the MGG Academy.

OUR HABITS AND WORK

Hi, I am Andrew Steven Boima a member at open team/source. Today I want us to talk about what I have titled as OUR HABITS AND WORK (PART ONE)

Workers, Employer and even CEO makes decision in the workplace that sometime are not habits of virtue in the workplace.

There are situations at the workplace that are stopping everyday workers to act ineffective. This is because sometimes our voices are not being heard when we try bringing them to notice.

Why are some workers not effect or efficient at their workplace?

The simple answer is Habit at workplace. In the workplace, we all have different skills, talent, and interest. The big question is, how many of today’s employer do really care about our interest at the workplace? How do you make someone effective or efficient at the workplace or even motivate someone’s insight to see your business or organization as not just an economic means, but as their own business? That habit of workers running/seeing your business as if it were theirs.

Well I have few points to make today relating to the above questions.

First, Employer and CEO’s need to understand their employees. If you are not listening how would you know what’s on their mind? Being effective and efficient at the workplace means you know what you are doing and that you are good at what you do. But what about if you were not good at what you do, or you do not have great interest in what you do? This is the part that we as employee needs to speak up. At the same time, how do we speak up if we don’t have someone listening or willing to hear our interest.

Habits at the workplace counts a lot towards effective and efficient production. There are so many posts of work where different people at workplace can be efficient. This is where HR’s need to stand up or improve on. You need to know each one interests and talent at the workplace, what they are good at or what they can be better with as well as what they are not good at. If a worker is good at marketing and you have that department in your organization, negotiate his/her interest and support that worker. If he/she is good at designing, negotiate with them about it even if they were hired to do something different. This is about being effective and efficient in their day to day work not just because you want them to work. One big ideology HRM’s should know is that, most people apply for position that they think they can manage or handle, not because it’s their interest or they love doing it. It is not bad to work at all, but are you happy with what you are doing every day?  Is there a better way you can improve your working skills? This question can only be answer between you and your HR. It is good for us to know and understand in any organization what people love doing and find interest in doing. Most time we do not speak up with the fear that we might lose our current job. My big point here is, it’s not just about work or living, but being better and efficient at the workplace.

When you know your workers and motivate their skills, they tend to love the workplace and even the tendency falling for your business as if it were theirs. On the other hand, if an individual is just working because they need the money, it will come to time that they will stop being efficient or you might even lose them not because of money, because they’ve seen something that they have interest in or love doing somewhere else. Some organization tend not to give people job they love doing simple because they know you are good at it and they do not want to value you for it, so instead they tend to leave you doing something you do not love or find interest in doing which cause most workers not to be effective.

In this new normal, what I think organization should start doing is encourage workers and give them jobs/work they love doing. If you think you can not value them you negotiate it and let them know you really value or appreciate their work. Trust me when I say this, some employees do not value you, even with all your hard work. If you are value at your workplace, thank you for your hard work and keep it up. If you are not, then try to learn a useful habit that bring peace and joy in your everyday life at the workplace.

TO HR and CEO’s, If you very well know that there are two positions and I can be very effective and efficient in one of them, please do allow me to work in that position which can bring effectiveness and efficiency. You feel it, you know it, and can see it every day.

SEX IS A BLOOD PACT

SEX IS A BLOOD PACT
When a virgin has sex for the first time with a man, the fact that the rupture of the hymen causes a flow of blood which spurts on the sex of the man, means that an alliance or a bond has been established between them , and only death can separate them!
Originally, When a man has sex with a virgin girl, he is expected to wash the blood of the hymen and thus bind himself to that girl by a wedding ring💍.
Many men and women will not fulfill their destiny because of the one to whom they gave their virginity.
It is because of this irrevocable covenant that God does not want you to lose your virginity before marriage.
When you have sex with your partner, this is your way of saying, "My enemies are now your enemies, and your enemies are now my enemies; My friends are now your friends and your friends are now my friends; I will stay by your side no matter what, I will never leave you and I will never abandon you. I will defend you to death
You now have one flesh, united soul and body! Here is what the Bible tells us:
“1 Corinthians 6:16 ►
“Do you not know that whoever becomes attached to the prostitute is one body with her? For, it is said, the two will become one flesh."
This type of alliance should only be made by those who are legally married. Whenever you have sex with a person, you make a blood pact with that person at the same time.
When God made a covenant with Abraham, it was through circumcision which included a shedding of blood. When God gave Moses the commandments and the covenants, the blood of animals was one of them.
Through sexual sin, body, mind and soul are linked. Everything that is in the man or in the woman enters the life of the woman or of the man. Through sex, you receive all the iniquities of your partner's family in your life and even their ancestral curses because the life of a man is in the blood.
Sexual sin can turn your good and perfect destiny into a bad destiny of doom!
You see some girls or women who, after sleeping with a man who has a curse, end up with the same curse in their lives. Things don't work for many people because of the kind of people they slept with. Many have been initiated into things that they themselves do not understand because of sex.
Even the world of darkness recognizes that sex is a pact of blood. If you have sex with someone who is part of a sect, you are automatically initiated spiritually and in your dreams you will find yourself taking part in gatherings with strange people/personalities. The dark forces of this sect will begin to influence your life without your knowing it. This has happened to a lot of people.
So be careful who you sleep with because you don't know where your partner's bloodline and spirits come from.
By sex they can steal your crown, steal your throne, snatch your graces, tear your tunic, steal your gold and your silver, change your star, destroy your projects, suck your grace, kill you, bury you alive ...
Many destiny failed because of 5 minutes intercourse due to the fact that energy and spirit were exchanged.
Many have killed their future because of a blood exchange.
NEVER HAVE FUN WITH SEXUALITY👀👀👀
You wonder why everything is bad in your life, bad luck follows you everywhere! why you have repeated nighttime diapers (Visiting a husband or wife at night), you suffer from frigidity, you are bombarded by impure thoughts of a past relationship (fantasy) despite you are with your partner or your partner. Yet you are the cause, you sleep with anyone. Then you accuse someone in the village and others even accuse their family members while you yourself are the author of your curse.
The present world system demands that we struggle so much for little things, that's the devil's system. Immorality and fornication is on the trend now... But We can get the things we desire, without much struggle by partnership with the Holy Spirit...and partnership with God demands that we stay away from the things that defiles our body.
Just like we say our boyfriends or girlfriends cheats on us, having sex outside marriage is cheating on Christ. Think about it🤔
IF YOU WOULD PLEASE SHARE THIS PUBLICATION IN SEVERAL GROUPS IN ORDER TO SAVE SEVERAL LIVES, THE ETERNAL WILL BLESS YOU FOR YOUR ACTION. THIS MESSAGE WILL SURELY CONVINCE AT LEAST A SOUL. HAVE A WONDERFUL MINUTES AND PLEASE STAY HOME AS WE ARE ALONE TOGETHER IN THIS TIME OF DIFFICULTY. I AM ANDREW STEVEN BOIMA AND GOD BLESSED US ALL!!!

How to get a job by using open source (By Henry Badgery)

Hello, I am Andrew Steven Boima and a member at Open Source. Today I want to relate a post from open team/source on:
How to Get a Job Using Open Source (By Henry Badgery)
Job recruitment has fundamentally changed. The skills you possess are far more valuable than your degrees. Recently, the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, revealed that about half of Apple’s US employment last year included people who didn’t have a four-year degree. Cook reasoned that a lot of colleges don’t teach the skills that business leaders need most in their workforce, such as coding.
Instead of focusing on where someone graduated, or whether they graduated at all, employers are now focused on what that candidate is able to do. When measuring the fit of applicants in a job interview, recruiters are looking primarily to:
Problem-solving skills
Variety of backgrounds and industries
Experience
The recruiter needs to know whether your skills and experience match the job description or not. Let’s suppose that you’re currently a Java developer wanting to work with a Google stack. You’ve taken a few courses and have been awarded a certification in the C# language. But now you have to prove your experience and unfortunately, courses and certifications aren’t going to cut it.
Luckily, there are ways to make your profile stand out so that you can get hired, even if you haven’t worked with a specific tech stack. According to GitLab, contributing to projects that are open source is the most effective job-seeking hack that you can take advantage of.
